AN ENDEAVOR TO DISCUSS UNIVERSAL BASIC INCOME AS A NEW FUNDAMENT FOR OUR SOCIETY.

In regard of the vanishing need for human workforce and growing inequality between people who own and people who don’t, we speak up for discussing an idea which seemed utopian for far too long: Universal Basic Income. What if everyone would have their basic needs fulfilled just because they were born?

As a think tank of artists, designers, and young researchers we’d like to start a discussion on the topic of universal basic income. Following an invitation by the New York based start up Print All Over Me, we commissioned 15 artists to do a fashion edition.

To launch the collection, we invited four theorists to talk about the basic income. To discuss the topic, there are essays by Nick Srnicek and Viola Nordsieck.
