The artist Manuel Rossner creates, through the use of VR technology, a new landscape build on the appearance of the Safiental Valley. Wearing VR glasses, only apparently abandoned in a hut at the edge of a mountain path, the visitor begins to float, hundreds of meters above the ground, in the landscape of the verdant mountains around him. Large sculptures, swollen lines of color created by ‘painting’ in the virtual space, lie on streams, forms new walls and thresholds, retrace paths. The notions of scale and orientation, crucial in the mountains, as well as what is real or virtual, artificial or natural, familiar or bizarre, lose meaning in favour of a reinterpretation of the geography that goes beyond the boundaries of the traditional experience of a mountain hike.
